For example, a child who weighs 25 kilograms will be asked to pay 25 Yuan (US $3) while one who weighs 30 kilograms pay 30 Yuan. The provision has become popular with parents, especially of thinner children who now pay less than they otherwise would.

Andy S. Decided to take the kids out for a meal at a new local mexican. From Monday to Thursday, kids eat free!!

Between us, we drank and ate the following:

Drinks
* Cokes, Lemonades
* Non-Alcoholic Cocktails
* Alcoholic Cocktails

Starters
* Stuffed Potato Skins (with cheese and bacon)
* Chilli Nacos (with Guacamoli, sour Cream and Salsa)

Mains
* Children had Margareta Pizzas
* Chicken and Beef Fajitas
* Chicken Burritos
* Smokey BBQ Ribs

Desserts
* Ice Cream

A great time was had by all, that is until we received the bill. Because I had told a member of staff it was my wife's Birthday they sang happy birthday and gave her a free cocktail. When we checked the bill the childrens meals had been included on the bill.

I pointed this out and eventually they took the meals off. It's not about the £7, but the principle that if you advertise an offer you need to follow through. They originally explained that because we were there as a "party" the offer doesn't stand. I pointed out that we only went there because of the offer and that if by giving us a free cocktail the bill is £7 more that it's not a free cocktail.

All said and done we had a nice evening, just make sure you check your bill :)

Final bill for 3 adults and 2 kids = £60.45

Andy S. I have been to all of them a few times.

The decor in this one, as I mentioned, is charming with fairy lights, a domed glass skylight, vine-like plants and gilded pictures abounding.

The black-clad waiting staff were all charming as well, and efficient with it and I'm sure the food would have been charming, if it had been able.

Even the other diners looked not short in the charm department - though that could have been the house wine, which was very good indeed. I had a tomato and onion salad to start with which was excellent (though not much can go wrong with a tomato and onion salad) and my companion had mussels, which you can do a lot wrong with, and they were very good too.

We both had risotto for mains, mine with mushrooms and hers with seafood and we were, not surprisingly, enchanted with both. On top of all this, it is also reasonably priced - very well worth a visit.

See if you can catch "Enrico" the owner getting in the way of the staff when it gets busy.

Beleive me, he does smile, even if the photo doesn't show his best side.

Andy S. But the parking gods were smiling on us, and we found a spot almost immediately, one block south of Hollywood. Otherwise, reservations aren't required.

What we ordered: Chili-crusted Calamari with spicy lime dip ($6.75); Kitty's Kung Pao Chicken ("Our main squeeze, with mango," $9.50); Steamed baby bok choy ($6.50); Steamed fish in ginger onion sauce ($10.00)

High point: First off, how cool that this restaurant, along with Paladar around the corner (and a handful of others), is finally bringing some real late-night eating life to Hollywood. The food is cheap and a bargain for the amount you get. Menu is also very eclectic, and doesn't just stick to Chinese: Kung Pao Kitty also offers several Filipino dishes, including lumpia and Chicken adobo.

Low point: Strangely enough, their signature dish -- the Kitty's Kung Pao -- was my least favorite dish. It was sort of on the bland side, compared to the tasty steamed fish and the calamari, which was the most tender I've had in a while.

Overall impression: Cool, urban eating experience. The restaurant's bright red decor and ambience give it an almost New York feel -- Maria compared it to Kelly and Ping in Soho. Service was top-notch, while the bathroom was clean. Place wasn't too crowded, particularly for a Saturday night -- but wasn't empty either. On the Chinese food authenticity scale, well, you're not going to mistake it for the real thing. But what the hell, you're not going to Hollywood to eat authentic Chinese food.

Chance we will go back: Maybe not immediately, but I think we'll find ourselves there eventually, especially if we're in the neighborhood.

Andy S. The music was a funky, jazzy blend.

The menu was simple and impressive. The prices seemed reasonable too.
Pzaz boasts a varied menu with something to suit every palette. I opted for a Meat Feast Pizza which was topped with some great meats. Chicken, Beef, Parma Ham. The pizza cost me £8.25

I also got myself their famous homemade chips and a coke cola for £2 each.

Their website is currently not available, but it is http://www.pzazkitchen.com

Other people who have visited this restaurant are Rudd Van Nistelroy from Manchester United and Badly Drawn Boy.

Contact Sean @
Pzaz Mediterranean Kitchen
2/4 Ack Lane East
Bramhall, Stockport, Cheshire
SK7 2BY
Tel.0161 440 9222
Fax.0161 439 0002
haley@pzazkitchen.com

I rate the meal and value for money at 8 out of 10.
Thanks Sean and staff.

Andy S.
